As we all know that due to the low wages paid to the underprivileged women helpers they hardly spare a thought about their menstrual health needs. The objective of this project was primarily about the menstrual hygiene at workplace, because it would be very difficult for them to afford sanitary napkins in low income. The priority for them was to look after their families so they were forced to neglect their menstrual hygiene.
The Director of G. D. Jalan College Dr. Rajeshwari Ravi shared her thoughts on menstrual health and the need for biodegradable cloth sanitary napkins with the women helpers in the college. We distributed hygienic reusable sanitary napkins made of special cloth to the underprivileged women helpers in the college campus.
